You look at the two recent Miami finals teams and think that there is no way that they belong there, but they are very well constructed. And Butler was the most important player. He’s just old and hurt and can’t will a team to those heights. He’s also a pain in the ass when he doesn’t get his way.

 

Rick Barry is currently the closest statistical comparison to Jimmy Butler, per Pro Basketball Reference, which is kind of funny. The similarity score isn't that high, but still.

 

I would like one interviewer to ask of one of these malcontents, "Just what exactly is so terrible about your life that you can't just go do your fucking job?"

 

Assure them playoff spots and let the Cavs and Thunder play each other 20 more times.
