You occasionally see plowing disparities almost that stark in Minnesota if you go to the border of either Minneapolis or St. Paul, and one of their adjacent suburbs. The main cities won't declare a snow emergency for less than three inches, and even when they do plow it takes forever because people don't get around to moving cars off the roads in time (to be fair the snow emergency parking rules are arcane and confusing and often it's hard to find somewhere else to park).

They do this in my town but I can never tell if it actually works. But there have been times where I see it on the streets and think, I guess it's supposed to snow.

It works but I’ve seen them waste the stuff before a really severe cold snap when it is completely ineffective. I’ve seen them use beet juice too.

    Fair catch inside the 2.

If he'd caught it in the end zone, is it a touchback?

Allen has 63 yards. Singleton has 52. ND has 27. Not a good recipe for the Irish.

59 for Notre Dame meets to punch the offensive coordinator in the mouth at halftime

Twenty years ago, Dave Wannstedt was asked at halftime what Pitt needed to adjust in the second half against West Virginia.

    “We need to run faster.”

Marcus Freeman could have a similar response except his would be, “we need to get stronger.”
