With Singleton and Warren, you should be BEGGING for overtime, instead they are going over the middle of the field on Notre Dame's biggest defensive strength. Can't make that sort of aggressive call in that situation.

An Ohio State-Notre Dame final would be a rematch of the game my buddy (a huge Irish fan) and I got to see in South Bend 30 (!!) years ago. One of my favorite college football game day experiences.

The Buckeyes romped on the scoreboard in 1995, but their fans were posers when it came to tailgating. Card tables filled with top shelf alcohol and two-fisted pregame drinking by the Catholics!

With next week’s game being on a federal holiday, I’m sure the Notre Dame faithful will be well lubricated.

I can’t believe I’m writing this but I would be OK with a Notre Dame national championship.

Brian Kelly left that school three years ago because he didn’t feel like he could win a national title there and now…

Well, that would mean that both James Franklin and Ryan Day lost the big game once again. That promises all sorts of entertainment value.

I thought the PI call that set up the final Penn State TD was bogus, I didn't see any contact. I understand the DB not going for the ball, just didn't see the contact. That said, knowing Penn State as I do, I figured I might have time to get home from the bar I was at to watch the OT after ND was punting with less than a minute left. No WAY would Penn State start winging the ball down field now, they'll settle for OT. Boy was I wrong. Ouch.
Reminded me of Franklin's presser last year. "It's like you're speaking Japanese! You're making me uncomfortable, just throw it up?"

It's not like either of these team was going to win next week anyway.

I'm happy about Penitentiary State losing, but did it have to be Notre Dame in the championship game?

This Notre Dame team is oddly likable.

Bailed at halftime in favor of sleep for early work, but caught the highlights. Looked like Allar was playing with fire all night throwing into double and triple coverage and he finally got caught at the end. Was also sad to learn that Warren was originally committed to Virginia Tech. Love that guy, he's an absolute beast and whoever gets him in the draft is going to be thankful.

When it was 10-0 and Notre Dame couldn't get anything going on offense, I thought we were in for another Boise State type game but credit to Al Golden for shifting his defensive scheme and forcing Allar to beat him with his arm, which he couldn't do. I've heard a lot of hype for this kid for the last three years and have yet to see any reasoning behind it. He's great at lighting it up against garbage teams like Michigan State and Purdue but everyone does that.
