Same here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we never make it to 6, for the reasons you stated. Calling it contrived would be a compliment. Doves < The Jackal (which had its weaknesses as well).

    He's a Doctor! He's a Detective!

    So he's House MD?

What is this about? It sounds like the vibe I got when I saw a commercial for Watson. I may check that out only because it is set in Pittsburgh. (I caught a glimpse of the Clemente Bridge in the commercial.)

Must have seen a dozen ads for the show. I like Chestnut. The premise - yet another sherlock knockoff though? Leaves me uninspired.

Can the Today Show milk the Hoda departure any more? My goodness. They ask for a paycut. She's says screw it, I'm out. The long goodbye, the FINAL WEEK!, the Final Show! First Day without Hoda! (Oh wait, she'll still be around doing limited appearances...)

Hoda Kotb left a surprise letter for Craig Melvin. Here’s what it said

I know it is unkind, but the morning shows seem to hype the hell out of whatever is going on in their personalities personal lives, the good and the bad (except for the Lauer stuff of course) - for ratings purposes.

There's a reason David Letterman poked unlimited fun at that show.

So he's not necessarily "on the show" its just the cattle call to maybe get invited to be on the show. I imagine the local NBC affiliate will also send someone over.

He’s the guy who generated the post about himself, right? That’s Romi-level look-at-me’ism.

Agreed. Chestnut is a solid actor, but he already did the doctor detective deal in Rosewood.
