2024-25 College Basketball Thread

Michigan is a 3.5-point favorite over Indiana and leads 70-64 with 2.5 seconds to play. Indiana in-bounds the ball and some guy casually hucks up a 3/4-court shot. Swishes for a 70-67 final but Indiana covers. That's a bad beat.

Was at ashembly Hall today and the "WHOA!" that went up after that shot was awesome. The Hoosier loyalists who are still betting the home team need to have their heads examined, but at least they didn't lose.

Always shop around though. I looked 10 min before tipoff and DraftKings had IU +3.5 and Caesars had IU +3.

I figured you would have wanted them in the top spot to knock them off this week, but understand the overall sentiment
I want Bama to win the league and more margin to maneuver is always helpful.

Foe better or worse, if this Duke score holds up then the Crimson Tide will be on the floor in the Ozarks with No. 1 at stake.

I know everyone hates Duke but that's a shipty break to have a turnover on a slippery floor

ESPN did its best to convince the mashes that Arkansas was resurgent and ready to go. They are not.
Alabama should be No. 1 in the next poll. And they'll win handily in Fayetteville.

Except they already didn't. Took a 20-point lead and nearly blew every drop of it in the last six minutes. Still, no such thing as a bad road win.

I don't think I'll ever understand NET and maybe it's better that way.

But you have all the results of yesterday and and the changes just don't make sense -- Florida beats No. 1 and doesnt move. Duke loses and doesn't move. Iowa State had lost three of four, beats a team outside the top 80 and moves up two spots. Gonzaga is terrible in quad 1 and they are 14th. St. John's beats what is now 24 and 33 and drops a spot

Wonder if the SEC would occupy 1-2-3. Only time that has happened: final poll of 2018-19, when the ACC had it with Duke, Virginia and UNC in that order.

In re: Gators, I'm not sure if this answers anything, but one of their Q1 wins appears to have been reclashified as a Q2 and one of their Q3 wins fell into Q4.

and that outweighs that big of a win? Stuff like that doesn't make sense
