I some times struggle to reconcile Tarantino's heavy use of scenes and dialogue over a full narrative.
Always loved the idea about a redneck bar in SF. Gay bars disguised as redneck bars of course, but a bar like this? Would have lasted like 20 minutes. Still, an amazing scene.
Love everything about this scene, including Porkins as the dirty cop and Bob providing the best damn henchman backup anyone could ask for.
Willam Hootkins in Star Wars, Batman and Raiders (Top Men), character actor in a bunch of stuff. What a great career.
The bartender was in a ton of Walter Hill movies and many for John Carpenter. I saw 48 Hrs recently for the first time and was surprised how dramatic and not trying to be funny much of it was.
...and Ernst Janning, worse than any of them because he knew what they were, and he went along with them. Ernst Janning...who made his life excrement, because he walked with them.
In honor of the start of spring training, this great scene from “42”. “Like it, lump it, make your minds up to it, because’s HE’S COMING!”
There are so many laugh out loud moments in this movie. I've lost track of how many times I've given someone a candy bar and said, "There's your goddamn dinner."
