In a letter to the interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin reviewed by Reuters, the office's criminal chief Denise Cheung wrote that the Trump administration had ordered her to investigate a government contract awarded during Joe Biden's administration and pursue a freeze of the recipient's assets.

She said that neither request was supported by the evidence, which she said she was provided with by the Deputy Attorney General's office.

Trump may actually send Delta Force or other U.S. Special Forces into Mexico to go after the drug cartels. That would get into prickly issues of national sovereignty and add that if you try to notify Mexico and get approval first it would probably leak to the cartels. Also, I think the cartels would hit back. We've never seen the level of cartel violence in the U.S. that Mexico has. I don't want to think what a Sinaloa Cartel run terrorist attack would look like.

After all, how else is he going to get Canada and Greenland than by force?

 

I've often said here that nothing matters anymore. The guy gets away with everything. His Fifth Avenue comment was the most accurate thing he ever said.

But as an exercise, is there anything he and his administration could do that would actually enrage enough of the population that goes too far? What is that line? Like, if tanks rolled into Canada tomorrow, would even that be enough for any supporters, however they might be, to be like, "OK, big guy, too far?"

I'm actually being serious. Is there a scandal that could ever be big enough?

He'll send boots on the ground. He's always wanted to be a big time commander of a triumphant army.

 

You'll have a third of the country living in shantytowns with the occupants saying, "yeah, but imagine how much worse it would have been if Harris got elected."

 

At this point, "dead girl, live boy" would be survivable by Trump. He could name Putin to run DOGE and be cheered.

 

I wish Democratic politicians would learn to do this.
