In non-political tournament news, U.S. defenseman Charlie McAvoy will miss tomorrow night's championship game due to an upper body injury. He is believed to have been originally injured in the opener versus Finland.

And he's still in the hospital, right? Seems a little alarming.

Elliotte just mentioned on Sportsnet the possibility of infection ... and the Bruins are unhappy.

His right eye looked strange in the last photo I saw him in. Hope it’s not something serious.

The fucking sociopath called the team this morning, and one of the players sucked and swallowed:

J.T. Miller on Trump's call: "It was so awesome to get his support. It's a pretty big deal for him to take time out of his schedule to talk to us for five minutes. It's just another one of those things where we're kind of pinching ourselves this tournament."

USA Hockey put out a picture of the call, Chris Johnston has it on twitter @reporterchris

    Fuck 'em.

    GO CANADA!

“A little bit, but I would just try to focus on the message that he was giving us,” Guerin said. “I’ve said it before: We’re here to play hockey. This is not a political forum. This is a hockey tournament. And he’s just trying to be supportive in the best way that he could, and we appreciate it.”

Yet you turned it into one.

For God knows what reason, the convicted felon must think this is up there with 1980 in Lake Placid, when there's no comparison. He knows less about hockey than he does women's college volleyball.
