I described Severance to my buddy yesterday as "murky"; every episode left me wondering "what's going on and why?". Ep. 4 was IMHO the best so far; some clarity and some intense scenes.

Agree, for me it went from a "WTF?" episode to quite good. And I appreciate the "Behind the Scenes" snippets after the credits.
Just finished Slow Horses season three. Lots to like in that show, great cast (including gorgeous Esme from Peaky Blinders), solid acting, cool cinematography....but man, much was so unbelievable. A group of old or screw up agents or wounded amateurs constantly getting the drop on elite tactical squads? C'mon.
His brilliance enabled a wounded civilian amateur to choke out a special ops dude or a superficially trained agent easily dispatching the Iraq War veteran in full tactical gear? Blimey, mate. He really is the best.
I thought that High Potential both found its groove in the last few episodes of its first season while also ratcheting up the ridiculous a little bit too much for me at times. Hopefully, they calibrate better for season 2.
My wife and I are about 3 episodes in and enjoying it. But, scuttlebutt from a TV writer friend that I know from a Discord - Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars, Party Down) left as showrunner after about six episodes. The new showrunner is the lead writer Drew Goddard (The Good Place, Netflix's Daredevil, The Martian, 10 Cloverfield Lane and Cloverfield Paradox). His credits are pretty good, but different.
