Surprised nobody's made a move for Zach Wilson if only because former Jets QBs seem to get better the further away they get from the Meadowlands. I actually like the "short" deals. If they pan out, they can give them a market rate deal for five years plus, if not - or they find a qb in the draft, they can cut bait.
Interesting. And I saw the Bucs are circling on Trey Lance. Honestly, I'd love to see that guy get five or six starts. I'm not saying he'd light it up, coaches have seen him in practice so they know it would be unlikely, but dang the Niners gave up a ton to draft him. There has to be some value there, right?
I saw that and wondered what the Texans are doing. Stroud was already getting his brains beat in last year at times.
Too funny. I was just thinking about this. At that time, I was seeing that guy for an orthopedic problem and had an appointment the next day after that incident. When I checked in, the office was very quiet. I did not say anything about the Chargers, etc. I quietly mentioned to the receptionist that it seemed to be pretty quiet. She said, nobody's saying much today. When I got in with Dr. Gazzaniga (he knew I had been a sportswriter) I mentioned the somber office. He said, people just don't realize what these athletes want us to do to keep them on the field. Accidents happen. I recalled the time when I was in the USC locker room after a football game and the team doctor was making the rounds with a hypodermic needle that probably had painkillers in it. He turned quick and almost stuck me in the neck. Gazzaniga didn't say anything else about this. I never saw a resolution to the lawsuit that Taylor filed against him. It might be ongoing. Gazzaniga was an All-Ivy League offensive lineman at Dartmouth as an undergrad.
