That seems fucking nuts, given the year he's coming off of. I would have thought he's in the $10m to $20m a year category, that sort of "maybe he'll be good again" class of starting QB in free agency.

Maybe Steve Largent is coming out of retirement.

With Free Agency in the NFL, you don't even really evaluate the player so much as the financial terms. A lot of these teams offer their own FAs X years and Y per, and if they refuse it, offer it around until they get a taker.

Aaron Rodgers was rushed to UPMC today when he took Mike Tomlin’s instruction to “not blink” literally.

That's insane. If they end up paying him that much, they made a huge mistake not working things out with Fields. Neither of them is enough to win a championship, but no way they should be overpaying what is left of Rodgers by that much.

I figured something like $50 million for two years, but only the first is fully guaranteed. At this point, I'm ready for them to say screw it and sign Winston.

As someone who watched pretty much every Rodgers pass this season, that’s an insane overpay. He gets rid of the ball too quickly and he doesn’t have the wheels he once did.

I know people's nerves get on edge, but are we really treating Florio as a reliable source about transactions where real money is involved?

The Eagles traded Kenny Pickett to the Browns for DTR and a fifth-round pick.

I did write "If they give him that much..."

Y'all should know by now that I let my pessimist flag fly in football discussions.

Would you rather the Steelers give Rodgers $90 million or Sam Darnold $100 million? Bottom line, after this run of Rudolph, Hodges, Trubisky, Pickett, Russell, and Fields, they’re still going to need a long-term answer regardless of who they sign.
