Houston is correct for most final fours without a championship: 6

Temple is incorrect. They are tied for 5th in most tournament appearances without a title with 33.

Paying off the school with most NCAA tournament appearances and no title: Texas with 38.

Notre Dame is second with 37, then Purdue, then Illinois with 34, and Temple and Oklahoma tied with 33.

Does anybody know the story of how Bradley (7-19) made the 1955 NCAA Tournament as an at-large team? And won two games?

And the big-school advocates on TV are doing their darndest to make it 39 even though no team that goes 6-12 in conference play is worthy, no matter how good your league may be, unless it wins an auto bid.

Along these lines, who holds the record for most NCAA Tournament appearances without a Final Four?

Nope. Deacs made it in 1962 with a point guard named Billy Packer.
