RIP John Feinstein

I found that a bit weird too. I know it's the PTI format, everything short, but still. Maybe if Kornheiser was there it would have been more.
 
John was someone I knew personally from covering the same sports events from time to time. I found him splendid company and liked him immensely. But I could also imagine that if I were a c0-worker at the same publication, I might find him trying from time to time.
 
I don't know, I appreciate the "measured" tributes to him.

None of us are perfect or saints, so it feels like a more honest appreciation of him, rather than the "he was Jesus on Earth" takes that so often come out after a person's death.
