Took Mikey a long time to throw everyone except himself under the bus, didn't it? If this is the face of the operation, a transplant is necessary

I would have to assume. Last year, when I was covering the Gateway Truck Series race in STL, Todd Bodine won and there were several Japanese Toyota officials in Victory Lane with us. If they're willing to travel that far for a Truck Series race in a non-NASCAR market, I would think there would be several at Daytona this week...

I don't know that I would call it throwing someone under a bus. Where else but in sports do teams allow flagrant rule breakers and criminals to remain with the organization? I think we in the media are so used to the forgive-and-forget attitude, when someone steps up and says a person who broke a rule will be terminated, we're stunned. Having said that, I'm not necessarily sticking up for Waltrip. I don't believe most drivers know what's going on with their cars, but as the team owner and someone who has said in the past he's very hands-on with his setups, it makes you wonder. Plus, this is the Michael Waltrip the fans don't get to see very often. I think the charity stuff he does is fantastic and he's obviously a sponsor's dream, but as a person, he's not very nice and I think a lot of fans are seeing that for the first time.

I will agree with oldfart. Talk about blaming everyone but yourself.

Of course, TRD has tossed Waltrip's crew under a fleet of Tundras.

RACE ALERT: Tony Stewart spins someone out again! And guess who it was?

Reutimann's in too, thanks to Boris (who doesn't love Boris?)...wow, getting all three cars in after this week's shitstorm is just amazing for MWR.

Darrell Waltrip says that the second race will be "more saner"

I'm jealous of all you who are sitting in Daytona covering this crazy week. Absolutely nuts...

I can only imagine what it would have been like if James Hylton had made it.

It's a shame that he didn't. I was rooting for him. And he was so close.

I remember when Dave Marcus made it for his final race...that was a pretty cool moment. And it was a cool-looking car...
