Hey, I heard that some Trentonian reporters are actually introducing themselves as being from "Journal Register Company" rather than saying they are from "The Trentonian" when covering events ... perhaps this makes them seem like they are representing a legitimate, upstanding place of employment!

 

This is getting old. It's great if people want to bash JRC, but the moronic Lee and Bob impersonating detracts from the thread's credibility. Hit them hard and straight. In the modern world, would anyone give a shit if Bob is, indeed, cavorting with a Ramon? Amid all of the legitimate gripes, we need to stoop to this crap?

 

If The Trentonian's reporters are honestlly alluding to Journal Register Company instead of The Trentonian while covering events it must be an order from management. No employee who ever worked for The Trentonian ever viewed JRC as a whole any more upstanding than The Trentonian itself. Is there something improper with JRC asking employees to do this? I do not understand how this is a reason to dislike JRC.

I have decided to stop adding to my daily list. My intention with this thread was to warn journalists about the risks of agreeing to work for a JRC newspaper. It is my hope that this helped spread the message. I must agree with a few other thread contributors that this thread has run its course for now. If I learn new and relevant information I will post it or if any of you have new personal messages that are relevant I will post them too.

Frank, the Ramon character in my daily translations was just to add some humor to a gloomy topic. I did not intend to offend anyone.

 

If the subjects know anything at all about journalism, having reporters introduce themselves as being from the "Journal Register Company" does nothing to improve their credibility.

Might as well introduce themselves as representing the Manson Family.
