"It Doesn't Get Any Lonelier Than This" by Steve Earle is a killer track, too.

 

One cool hombre doesn't even begin to describe the wonderfulness of my father.

On the subject of music, though, he got me listening to some great stuff as a kid and it's stuck with me.

Damn, hadn't heard or read a Bad Brains reference in a long time.

 

Love Bites- Def Leppard. I get chills everytime I hear it and in junior/senior high, this song was affiliated with my break-ups. :'(

Please Forgive Me-Bryan Adams,...it may not be an actual break-up song but again, it is associated with another breakup and this song captured it.

Heard them play in concert first. It's based something that Rob Thomas went through while hitchhiking as a teenager. It's one of the first songs he wrote and it remains one of my favorites.
