Just curious to see how papers around the country are playing the Tour de France. Front page? Buried?

When Lance Armstrong was in it, it went cover every day. Now? Inside usually, but today it got cut down and put in the roundup because we were tight.

We'll go with a 12-15 inch story, usually a photo, a 4-5 inch brief on a couple of locals in the race, and a little glance box with 4-5 bullet items.

We've been D1 twice, D? once. With fewer things going on, it'll get a little better play than it probably deserves or would get if the TdF happened in June, August or September.

We ran the preview story with 3 col pic on the front, then it will probably be inside unless something big happens with an American or until the finish.

We run it on the front every day, and as the lede a lot. But we're a lot different because cycling is so big in Boulder.

Was stripped across bottom with 2col photo on Saturday. After that, it'll be in briefs until an American starts to win or the last day.

A two or three-graph brief, at most. Either that or we'll find a spot to run the glance. If there are feature stories, we'll run those. But 12-15 inch game stories on the stages are a bit too much, me thinks.

Hasn't reached the front of our section yet. Mostly it gets a small story inside, usually with some kind of art.

I'm completely serious with this answer:

The Tour de France has started?

I really hope you don't work full time in the industry.

We've bounced it (appropriately) inside for the last couple of days.

It might get some front page ink in Thursday's paper, though, with absolutely nothing else going on in the world of sports.

Using it as a fixed item on Page 2, our scoreboard, based on the AP's daily at-a-glance.
