Biggest piss-job on Bonds to date

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The ONLY thing Griffey had on Bonds in their primes defensively was the arm. And as overall players, that was balanced by Bonds' superior durability, skill on the basepaths and plate discipline.

But you keep on spouting off for the popular guy with the smile (never mind all that woe-is-me, I considered suicide early in my career shit).

Let Reilly keep throwing out the cutie one-liners.

Then also let him explain how 90-mph fastballs were an oddity in Aaron's prime, and now 70 percent of the pitchers Bonds faces has one.

90-mph heaters were an oddity in Aaron's prime? Says who? I've never heard anyone make that claim before.

bullshit bonds was a good left fielder. the only damned thing the guy ever did well in left was cut the ball off in the gap.

And he had great range. And he had a quick, accurate release on the throw that helped make up for a relatively weak arm.

Yes, Griffey was the better defensive outfielder. But Bonds was and is the more disciplined hitter. He was far more durable. He was also much better on the basepaths, particularly in steals.

If you want to wipe out everything due to the steroid accusations, fine. Otherwise, this idea that Griffey blew Bonds away as a player when they were in their primes is a joke.

    Ha-ha. ;)

Gibson, Koufax, Sam McDowell ... they threw legitimate heat. But they were MUCH fewer and far between than today. And you had a lot more of the "crafty" type of pitcher who was throwing 84-85 with location.

The specialization of pitching has something to do with it, to be sure. So does improved chemistry.

And there's another thing. Aaron didn't have nearly as many eighth-inning, ninth-inning at-bats against fresh pitchers.

WITHOUT waering more armor than a Sherman tank.

Baseball players should not be able to wear any padding. Period.

So, you have a problem with Craig Biggio, too? And you had one with Jeff Bagwell, also, right?

And while we're on the topic of workplace safety, those sissy welders shouldn't wear masks.
