Dumass sports opening

  4. Wow, didn't even know this town had a newspaper. This is pretty funny considering Dumas is my father-in-law's hometown.

    Loved that TV ad ... especially at the end when the boss says "What a dumbass."
     
  7. I'd get out of the field completely before I'd take a job there - even if it paid more than 50K.

    Agreed. It is truly a terrible place, though the DQ I stopped at was pretty good on a 90-degree April day.

    I am pretty sure it was the first town I ever saw in Texas. I wasn't impressed. We came down through Colorado and cut over on the highway through Raton and into Texas.
    I was surprised at the agricultural emphasis in the region, though.

    That part of Texas (and nearby parts of NM, OK, KS and CO) is a huge wheat-producing region. It's also a big beef feeding and packing region. If you've ever eaten a hamburger, chances are you've eaten something produced in that part of the USA.
