No love for Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" ... or "Big Come Up" by The Black Keys ... what's wrong with you people? Can't believe I left those off my favs list.

Also, wonderful call on Weezer ... but "Pinkerton" was also tremendous, and is still one of the most underrated albums since I was born.

    Thank you!

Rock 'n' Roll Star, Shakermaker, Supersonic, LIVE FOREVER, Cigarettes & Alcohol...the album is fantastic. And it has Digsy's Dinner (unfortunately!).

    Tops.

The very, very first one is spooky and crazed and completely unique.

Most of my choices have been listed but I'll add some I didn't see:

The Pretenders' debut is tremendous, one of my all-time fave albums.

I know it isn't technically a debut since they had an indie album or EP but the Blasters' big-label debut is a terrific rock and roll album that still sounds great today.

great, great call on "the pretenders." 8) 8) 8)

i was a copyboy working nights at the n.y. daily news when that album was released. i saw it on the desk of a news music critic and it looked interesting, so i lifted it -- is the statute of limitations up? that was a perk of making $165 a week in n.y. in the late '70s.

anyway, it was incredible! so incredible i brought it back to the critic and told him to make sure he gave it a listen -- he received many he just disposed of without a thought -- and he gave it a glowing write up the next week. ;D ;D ;D
