NFL Network not happy with Deion's take on Michael Vick

I believe it was supposed to have been a clarification on his Vick position. Apparently, he got so much negative feedback from readers on the first one that he wanted to backtrack and tell people he isn't pro-dog fighting or pro-Vick.

BTW, the NFL Network has every right to tell Deion he can't freelance for anyone else. And they didn't have a problem with it until one of his columns made him (and, by extension, the network) look bad. If you read Ed Reed's column, it seems NFL Network stopped only this column and will continue to let him write in the future. I believe they just want him to stay away from this subject to avoid looking like the moron he is.

And yes, pressmurphy, Deion does need the money that badly.

The NFL will also ban announcers from using the terms "dogfight" "dog eat dog" and "dog pound" in coverage this year.

    Dear NFL:

    We are not amused.

Yes, the NFL is well within its rights to slap that kind of restriction on its writers or announcers. But it amounted to a bad business decision on Deion's part. Football is what he knows best, and he should be pursuing as many revenue opportunities as possible in that area. I hope the NFL Network money is good enough that he doesn't need to pick up another paycheck elsewhere.

Yeah. Baseball is the gold standard of intergrity. And with such memorable and celebrated events such as Bonds passing Aaron. Everybody is really behind that one.

And the NBA is reaching a new peak. After all, no one wanted to watch new superstar LeBrown in the Finals, and now everyone's wondering if the game's were fixed anyway.

Yeah, you're right. The NFL does suck.

  6. Interesting logic, there.

Had OnTheRiver said: The NFL sucks. MLB and the NBA are much better, your response would make sense.
