Will UCLA remain tied for first for much longer? Probably not. But if a team is tied for first and undefeated in conference after four or five weeks of play in a BCS conference and is coming off a win against a team in the top 20, that merits a place in the top 25 for me. Maybe at No. 24 or 25, based on its out of conference losses . . . . . but yeah, the Bruins squeaked into my top 25.

Dear A: It's a confidence thing really. The SEC has none and has to trumpet it's own horn in a vain attempt at self-respect. It has nothing to do with a team having no losses deserving to be ranked ahead of a team that lost on the road.
