Just got done watching hot stove online. Who do you guys think ends up taking Khabibulin off the Blackhawks hands?

Chicago appears to be haning its hat on Patrick Lalime, and he won again tonight.

  2. GB-Hack,

I don't know of any team in the NHL looking to acquire a 35-year old broken down goaltender with another year on his contract with a cap hit of $6.75 million.

Ah, that didn't take long. Between periods at MSG, and McGuire and Milbury are having a "Who Can Be A Louder Douche-Off" contest.

You beat me to it. That rant Milbury did on Jagr was seriously one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. What the hell was he talking about? That anecdote about Messier not getting on the private plane because he wanted to stay with his teammates and then Milbury saying he doubts Jagr would give the same answer was so bad I don't even have words to describe it.

My local NBC affiliate isn't showing the game, so I have no way to see it. Right now it is showing a rerun of Ironside. :(

  7. If anyone ever wondered why Milbury is no longer a GM in the NHL, you have just witnessed one reason. He's a nut and been hit on the head too many times.

Do I think Jagr is a great Captain? No. But Milbury's argument was Yawn-esque. He didn't make one valid point. Jagr didn't act like an amateur after scoring a goal yesterday? The Messier anecdote? Irrelevant, both.

Well, it is between that and his mind-numbing run of failure in Hempstead.

The whole exchange between Milbury and Pierre seemed staged, which is so annoying. How about some actual intelligent discussion? Like PTI! ::)

Exactly. It was a like a mini-ATH with the screaming back and forth.

Give the viewers real discussion and analysis, instead of treating them like mutton.

Jesus, could this get any worse? If I'm the NHL, I'm on the horn to NBC during the third period about these two clowns. Not what the sport needs on a Sunday afternoon, when non-hockey fans might stop by for a few seconds.

And what's with "Mike's Hat Trick" showing FOUR goalie highlights and TWO fight highlights?
