Cougs- why should we stay far away? It's a great part of the world. Just curious- new on here and in the business and always loved texas. did you used to work there?

 

They staff Spurs and UT?

 

The ME is evidently looking to extend the coverage area. They think their readership will increase with expanded coverage of the Spurs and UT football. It does give Bill a chance to do some things once he begins.

 

bad for Bill, good for Killeen. It's a major upgrade for them...I don't care what department he works in.

 

You're right, Bill is an awesome addition anywhere. Killeen is lucky to get him. As for the Kerrville job, they actually have covered a decent amount of Spurs, went to Cowboy camp in San Antonio and have hit on some college football. Bill really made some inroads there that will make it a lot easier for the next guy.

 

Just curious what are they looking for in regards to experience etc?

 

If you've got skills, it never hurts to take a shot. I've seen a wide range of ages and experience at papers that size.

Wow, I'd say if he went to Killeen and it was a "big step up" Kerrville must be pretty damn bad, I've not hear anything good about Killeen
