Walked behind Harold Ford, the former Tennessee congressman, for about two blocks on the Vegas Strip last month. He was wearing a Redskins cap and was with some other dude (and sadly, not a bunch white hookers). He also completely ignored a guy begging for change, which I found odd for a dedicated public servant.

"No one gives a shit about your fantasy baseball team," I hope.

I saw several members of the Maryland women's basketball team at a restaurant near campus. Also saw Greivis Vasquez and another men's player there.

I actually danced with Jade Perry for like 10 seconds.

He was cool about it. Said I didn't have to, but I insisted. Talked with both of them about all things baseball for like two hours. This was the next to last day of spring training so Inge was ready to get on with the season.

Like I said, very nice guys. Very down to Earth and didn't mind spending time talking with a bunch of strangers.

I asked Wilson about how he feels to see himself in video games. He said it was cool, especially now that player models are more accurate. i asked him if they rated him fairly he said "I think they overrate me."

I've mentioned this before on similar threads, but the best for me was sharing a flight with George Clinton from Pittsburgh to Detroit. Good dude.....

Saw Jeter in a bar once ... he was pretty cool to my friend and was surrounded by girls. Also saw David Austin Green and Will from Will and Grace at two different bars in the same night.
Walked right past Cindy Crawford at fight night and she somehow managed to smell better than she looked. Paris Hilton was at the same fight and I was walking in front of three of the kids from That 70s show that evening as well, including Laura Prepon. Still in love. Saw a ton of other celebrities there but from afar. Met Michael Andretti at the Playboy Mansion ---- I didn't get to meet Hugh, who was out for a second, but I was standing next to Kendra. Too bad Bridget wasn't out there. Saw Jewel once as well. Literally ran into Stuart Scott on the street. Finally, my favorite, my cousins and I were out on vacation in Monterey at the time of the Pebble Beach tournament when we walked past Dan Patrick and Mark Grace, who were in the tourney. The two were pretty wasted, having fun and decided to see who could touch the roof of the parking garage ---- with both nearly falling over.

Dude, do you mean Brian Austin Green, who played David Silver?

That's really cool. I always liked Vance when he was in New York. I thought he was a very solid catcher, but couldn't really swing a good stick. If he combined Jason Phillips' bat with his defense, he might have been a fixture at Shea. I'll always root for him.

Sat next to Tiger Woods and a bunch of his pals, including Mark O'Meara, at the now-closed Brown Derby at the MGM Grand. Also sat next to Dan Patrick and Stuart Scott at the ESPYs that same year - they were flipping through note cards trying to memorize their lines.

Others I've seen, mostly on flights or in restaurants: Magic Johnson, Martin Lawrence, Debra Messing, Gabrielle Reece, Dan Majerle and Russell Crowe (actually talked to him for a bit; contrary to his rep, he was a cool dude). Also have seen Dennis Rodman, Lloyd Carr, Greg Norman and Chris Evert at various sporting events not involving their teams or sports.

I grew up in L.A. and know I've seen more celebrities than that, but those are the only ones coming to mind right now.

I suck at celeb sightings. Never in the right place at the right time, I suppose. I did share an elevator with Lisa Salters a few weeks ago at the Marriott Marquis in NYC. Seemed very nice.

It's OK. If it makes you feel any better, I doubt Brian's doing much better these days.

No kidding. When your last steady work was co-starring opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. I'm guessing that your future is a bit cloudy.
