I admire the sentiment, Ragu, but it never had a chance.

gingerbread, you asked an excellent question. Of course, there was no chance he would ever answer it.

Actually, Zeke's searching for some kind of steroid cream that will make him stronger. Something in a flaxseed oil container, preferably. You got anything that might be able to help him out, big guy?

After five years it seems that Conte may have decided to play follow the leader. Fainaru-Wada has tripled his salary and personally made a million dollars on the BALCO investigation and story. BALCO seems to be the Chronicle's claim to fame. Have you seen the television commercials featuring Phil Bronstein bragging "we broke the BALCO story." The problem is that he is telling a lie. The Chronicle didn't even break the story. Their very first story was almost a week after the raid. Fainaru-Wada was the third reporter from the Chronicle to write about BALCO. Williams came in a month later. The BALCO story was actually broken by Cheryl Hurd from NBC 11 News at 5 PM on September 3, 2003.
The raid was a 12:21 PM that afternoon. The Chronicle published their first story on Sunday, September 7, 2003. Of course, the facts in the case have never been important the Chronicle or their two rich reporters.
Only in America as Don King says.

Yes. A story about a convicted felon's steroid factory is the Chronicle's claim to fame. It's been around since the 1860s and has won several Pulitzers, but BALCO is where it really got its name out there. Truthfully, I'd never heard of the Chronicle until seeing Victor Conte's ugly visage in the sports section.

    Fucking moron.

Wonder why the Chronicle put the moron's photo on the front page of their newspaper 15 times?
Did they simply fall in love? Maybe BALCO became an addiction for them. I heard they have been having major financial problems for years.

I did a search and found some Balco products. This one shows Bonds:

Bonds' image/likeness is used in the ad on the website. Is Bonds being compensated by Balco for this, or is this a knock off? I would think a call from an attorney could shut this down quickly if Bonds is not being paid. The baby bibs, shirts and doggie cover are Balco approved, I assume? Just curious.

I would call creamora an idiot, but that would give idiots a bad name.*

Yes, because putting someone's picture in the paper means you endorse their activities.

Do you realize what a moron you are?

    Chronicle approved.
So are the photos of Bonds and Conte on the front and back covers of Game of Shadows. The book full of fabrication and lies. I can't wait for the lies to be perpetuated in the HBO movie.
