SEC considering launching its own network

    I can't live without the gymnastics dual meets on BTN. It is the air that I breathe.

    God how that network sucks.

    Just asking Hammer... but ... in the AJC story, it has this (below) ... are you referring to something different?

    That has to be, because it's hard to imagine CBS allowing the SEC to go to another major network.

    What would Saturday afternoons in October be without Verne Lundquist calling SEC games?

    What I heard might be bullshit, but I've heard that they're negotiating with Fox (along with CBS and others) for the next network contract.

    If Fox offered more money, or guaranteed two games every Saturday, the SEC would go with Fox.

    Problem is, Fox has a Saturday baseball contract, so that's a month of the college football season gone because of MLB.

    FOX already has NASCAR. Is it trying to corner the Southern TV market?
