Buyout details, severance packages

    I'd be curious what people got from various papers.

    The one week per year from Tampa is the lowest I've heard. I know of other places that offered six months salary and two years medical benefits for everyone who was buyout eligible.

    McClatchy paper out west: A week per year worked, plus six months medical.

    Gannett paper in Midwest: Two weeks per year worked and four months medical.

    NYT chain in Florida: One week per year worked, medical ended at the end of the month the people were let go. (That's brutal...)
