There's been a new closing date of Sept. 5, according to the MG Web site.

Other than any additional folks who applied since Aug. 18, I doubt it. ;)

I haven't heard from them so I'm assuming they haven't contacted anybody. 8)

Movement here? Or has MG put this one on ice?

No movement worth noting yet - bunch of applications, Steve just got a new deputy. He had a football section to put out, race week to deal with and needed time to give applications the proper consideration.

As far as I know ** and I don't work there anymore and don't know everything and could be out of left field *** all remains on track. Steve and I have been meaning to catch up. He had the aforementioned stuff to do and I've been busy learning how to teach and how to deal with fall sports.
Steve is one of the many great folks there I miss a lot, though he and I still hang out when we can. Took in a couple of ballgames together last month.

since you no longer work there, i can admit that i always was impressed with richmond and tulsa as being freakin' awesome regional newspapers. :D

i hope richmond can continue to impress.
