i think the beavs win this time around after getting curb stomped early in the year.

 

It would, but if they were to somehow rebound and beat Florida, that would be a better win than any of these other teams have. You could argue Texas' win over Oklahoma on a neutral field may be better, but if Texas doesn't even get to play in the Big 12 championship, a lot of pollsters won't consider them BCS title-game worthy.

 

I love how people discredit Penn State based on what Ohio State has done in the past. Makes no sense whatsoever and is just plain ignorant.

 

A BCS computer might agree on the Iron Bowl thing, as September games mean the same as November games to the computers.

But if Alabama loses to Auburn this late in the season, the Tide will drop in the polls, and there won't be enough time to climb back into the top two -- not even with a victory against Florida -- unless a whole lot of craziness ensues.

Alabama had better beat Auburn if it wants to play for a national championship.

That said, a lot of people said LSU was out of the national championship picture when it lost its regular-season finale to Arkansas last year. Then, a whole lot of craziness ensued.
