One of the early rumors, like the day after it happened, was that Drudge picked up on the story and implied that she was killed because she played Ann Coulter in W.
It was only one part of the mild insanity that swirled around this.
Also:
• It was a station intern or former intern who did it
• It was a station employee who did it
• It was someone from a rival station
• That boxer Jermain Taylor did it because she broke off their affair

I'm glad that it is over. Or at least appears to be over.

It's times like these that I wish I believed in God, so that I could take solace in the knowledge that this bastard would rot in Hell.

Especially since a lifetime in jail, where he can eat three squares, order reading materials from the prison library and enjoy any pleasure whatsoever for even one nanosecond, seems too good for him.

Instead of having this issue delve into yet another debate on the death penalty, I will say this instead: I hope a fellow inmate is already sharpening his shank for when this fuck makes his first appearance in the Yard.

Jesus H. Christ, I don't need to be reminded of that. Did you notice that I only used pronouns and didn't refer to him by his given name? That's because I hope this fate is reserved only for the guilty party. And I don't know for certain that Vance is guilty, though there seems to be some strong evidence to prove that he is indeed so. Still, though, I didn't use his given name and only employed the generic pronoun.

But what if I didn't, J.J.? I'm not about to serve on a jury or have any impact on this trial in any way, shape or form. So what the fuck was your reason for pointing this obvious fact out to me? Are you the average student who tries to answer all of the teacher's easiest questions in a blatant and desperate attempt to prove to his classmates that he's the smartest one in the room? I think everyone on this forum is fully aware that a suspect is innocent until proven guilty in the U.S. court system. What was your reason then, except to be a dick?

I'm not a sensitive poster, but I think there's far too many "full members" around here who just love to give newbies a hard time, as if this is a high school football team and those of us without post totals above four digits are freshmen prey for a group of seniors with varsity letter-man jackets earned by registering 7,000 posts or more.

And here's BYH to butt into a conversation that he has yet to be involved with, only so that he can include yet another quip---well, not a quip, because that word denotes a measure of humor and originality---that advances the discussion only by accident, since it proves my point that there are indeed some posters on here who act like "The Plastics" and have formed together to harass the newbies.

Any opinion on the recent developments in this case, BYH, or did you only reply because you saw that a member of your clique was acting like a dink and you needed to defend your ally by attacking a newbie? At least my post was not solely a complaint about JJ and board politics, but primarily addressed the arrest of Mr. Vance as a suspect in this murder.

Again, I am extremely grateful to you for demonstrating the truthfulness of my assertion that full members far too often converse with newbies in ways that they would not with other full members.

Actually, I was just saying what a fool you were making of yourself. Has nothing to do with outposting you by 40,000 or wanting to harass you. And I'll post where I'd like to, thank very much.

I'd tell you what I really think of how you're acting, but we can't do that anymore. And if you think people only "harass" newbies, you really don't spend much time around here.

I don't think I've done anything that would result in this thread being locked, considering I haven't been offensive or threatening, but if I have, I sincerely apologize to the mods.

As for you, BYH, I'd love to tell me how much I'm embarrassing myself and how I'm in danger of getting this locked, because it would continue to serve my argument. What are you, my father figure here on SportsJournalists.com?

As for this case, what is his background? Does he have a criminal past? Does he have a public defender or a private defense attorney?
