Aikman, to me, is a borderline HOF.

That said, in the dozen playoff games he played when he was in his 20s, before getting his eggs scrambled beyond repair, he had a passer rating of 105.3.

Roethlisberger, especially with the Steelers winning XL in spite of him, has a ways to go.

It did take 1 9/10 Super Bowls for Roethlisberger to do something deserving of the two rings he has.

Looks like somebody didn't turn the game on until the second quarter.

I have to give you credit, pallister. Unlike some of the haters on this thread, you didn't disappear the minute the Steelers won.

Which quarterback who played in the game at least twice has a passer rating in excess of 100.0 in each of those games?

    Warner?

Ben didn't do anything special until that last drive.

He did, however, play a much better game than he did the first time. I'll give him that. Even more impressive considering we'll eventually find out he played the game with a ruptured spleen, temporary blindness in his right eye and a really bad toothache — all of which didn't show up before the game. :D

Even the diehardiest of Steelers fans can't give him any credit for the Super Bowl XL win, right? He was downright awful.

Well, he did score on that scramble.

    (Hi Angola!)

He did not do anything to help them win XL.

But, he did bring them to the dance.

I will never forget the tackle at Indy.

Which was important, but far from the only thing he did in that playoff run. He carried the offense in all three AFC playoff games. Outside of Parker's long touchdown in Super Bowl XL, they got absolutely nothing out of their running game in that post-season.

Fans? Hell, even a member of the local media tried.

Regarding his performance in the Super Bowl, Roethlisberger completed nine of his first 10 passes for well over 100 yards and led the Steelers to scores on their first two drives.

The one incompletion was the deep ball that was a bit underthrown, but it still took a very good play by the defensive back to knock it down. The scramble and throw he made to Miller two plays later to convert a third-and-long, however, was pretty special.
