I am just sick. I'm not in the business, but I love newspapers and news like this just breaks my heart. MH - I wish you all the best.

Not to be morbid, but will the RMN Web site have all of Friday's stories on it? And/or will copies of the final edition be available for sale online?

  3. I also worry about my friends that are stringers at the News and have nothing to fall back on. In a few hours, they are out of a job with no money coming and no severance. And March is usually a huge month with so many prep and college events going on. And they probably have an assload of taxes due, with no money to pay that, either.

Sick to my stomach here. I can't say anything that others haven't said better than I could.

My thoughts are with you, MileHigh, and everyone else hurt by this. Godspeed.

Damn. My first big city metro by-line when I strung a Northern Colorado football game a few years back for them.

Best wishes and good thoughts to everybody there.

Yes on the Web site. And the press capacity has been racheted up, so I'm sure you can buy the final edition.
When I can get the final front pages (commemorative section is a double truck, then the main front), I'll get them up.

Drew Litton's farewell. Again, thanks to IJAG for her help. This one REALLY pained her.

I'll admit, I lost it for a moment when I saw the -30- next to Litton's sig, all the way out here in Pennsylvania.

MileHigh, I can't even begin to imagine.

Those cartoons are indeed heartbreaking. The whole thing is sickening. I can't even look at the photos online. Best wishes to all involved.

I just emailed Lee Rasizer, who covered the Broncos for the Rocky, to say how sorry I was ... his return e-mail thanked me and mentioned he was still working on his story for the final edition.
I know lots of other people have said it but I want to say, these people were pros and they did a fine job. I know that's not adding much to the thread that everybody didn't already know.
