And how'd you like to be his opponent? Complete no-win situation.

 

Maynard was a successful high school and college (club) wrestler. I wish him well.

It's on an unregulated event in Alabama. He tried to fight on a legit show in a commission state last year and has his application denied.

 

Well done.

 

Supposedly he has much greater muscle strength than anyone else could in his weight class because he has much less bone structure. I would imagine the makeup of his limbs make it easier for him to slip from holds, etc. Blocking punches will be an issue, though.

While he has some advantages, as far as going out and WINNING the fight, I think he'd have quite a hard time doing that unless he somehow manages a knockout -- unlikely given his reach disadvantage.

I guess this is all a spectacle and maybe a bad idea on his part, but good for him for trying to do something grand. I can only imagine the refs will be careful with this fight. In my experience, the refs at the fly-by-night shows generally are usually a lot more competent caring than the people organizing the shows.

 

Chances are if they rub enough Vaseline on him, he'll pop out of any holds like a bar of soap.

 

End well, this will not.

 

How can he grapple?

 

So if Chuck Liddell grabs the wrong limb for a tapout, he's shit outta luck.

 

Seems like you could just kick the shit out of him ... literally.
