We all need copy editors, Deskslave. You need one to help you recognize that Meredith is not a guy.

 

Closing comments on a specific blog posting isn't unusual or limited to this paper. A lot of papers do this rather than just let people continue to post for days and days -- because that's one less thing they have to monitor after they close the message board.

 

And you apparently need one to help you recognize that it's spelled "Meridith."

 

And you, apparently, need one to help ...

Looks suspiciously like the Atlanta Business Chronicle to me.

 

I was gonna say it looks just like The Guardian.

 

That looks like shit.

But it's still not as bad as Bakersfield or some other papers with gigantic teaser boxes taking up almost half the page.

 

Are they down to a single photographer? That's an awfully gray front page.

And the left-hand rail used to be the best thing about that paper. Seriously. Guess whoever had a sense of humor got canned.

I can't get the AJC anymore either where I live, but I couldn't resist posting this link to an AJC informercial someone sent to me with Julia Wallace talking about the redesign.
It reminds me of an erectile dysfunction ad.
"If your Sunday AJC takes longer than three hours to read, please contact a doctor. This may be a sign of a more serious problem."
