I'm sure he's a close personal friend and all, but tell me, what was he doing wearing her panties on his head?

People might say the same thing about Pujols. And if there's one player of this generation that is going to win a triple crown at some point in their career, I'd bet a lot of money it'd be him.
Besides, YOU tell Pete Vuckovich he's too fat to do something. Dude is scary.

Does anyone here know what the minimum salary was when this movie was released. I always thought Jake could afford a better car.

"What team do you play for, Jake?"
    "The Indians."
"Here, in Cleveland? I didn't know they still had a team."
"Yea, it's great. We got uniforms and everything."

Haha I did think about Pujols after I posted this. But Pujols is just thick (laying this one up for A_QB) and not fat. He's also got nine steals already, the second-highest total of his career and more than halfway to his career high. So he's got some wheels.

Vuckovich/Haywood was FAT. F...A...T. That dude would have to hit 87 homers and draw 250 walks to win the Triple Crown b/c there's no way he's legging out singles.

Tony Gwynn, Todd Helton, Frank Thomas off the top of my head. Not really fat, but I don't think any were grabbing a lot of infield hits.

I think Uecker had better lines in Major League II... can't recall off the top of my head, but he also does a hilarious riff on the naming of Vaughn's pitches after he gives up yet another homer...

Something like... Maybe that was the ham-and-egger; or the out-of-state(er)

    1988 - $62,500.00 was the minimum
    1989 - $68,000.00 was the minimum

    $68,000.00 - lower than i expected.
But still enough to afford a new chevette, escort, something. Even his own bullpen car?
    a great movie either way.

But he doesn't have to leg them out when he's hitting them somewhere toward South America. You need a passport to find his hits.
