Surgery for John Feinstein

    Been there, done that, got a wicked scar to prove it. But if he's in good general health, he'll make a full recovery, it'll just take about 6 months.

    Sorry to be so late to the "party," John, but thrilled you came through everything so well. The good news: While you are resting this gives the rest of us a chance to get something published. The bad news: Without your name on it, it probably won't happen. Look forward to the next time I see you.

    Best wishes to John as he recovers.

    And Luggy, having just recently lost my father who had undergone two separate bypass surgeries, I say if your dad wants a piece of bacon or occasional cigar, don't sweat it. Those are minor blips in the road. It's when those things become habits that you should rightfully worry.
