They are the first since 2003-04, when Lokomitv Moscow lost on away goals to Monaco in the round of 16 after finishing second to Arsenal, eliminating Inter Milan, in the group stage.

Extra time for Kettering and Leeds, in what's been a really fun second half. Leeds had an effort from a corner scrambled off the line in the final seconds of normal time. Should be about 6-1 to Leeds, but that's the magic of the Cup, as they say.

Can't understand how Leeds didn't score there. Another shot off the woodwork.

Open the floodgates now. Two in a minute for Leeds.

It's been an absolute siege for all of extra time.

Just flashed up that Leeds has had 44 shots, 18 of which have been on goal.

You don't see 5-1 aet scorelines very often.

The Scottish FA appears to be pursuing Dan Petrescu.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has managed to chase away one of his best players.

Fine by me. Should drag them further into the relegation battle and make for another team Pompey can climb above. Though, you know, beating them in the league would have been more helpful.

I was talking about the U.S.
As for two-year rotations, I wonder how Manchester United will work around its new sponsor. The club is obligated to unveil a new home or away kit only every two years. They brought out that POS they're wearing this year, but will have a new sponsor next year which means a new strip. Hopefully they will do away with that dang chevron.
My circa 96-98 jersey is still my favorite of all time. When you leave it untucked, it says Theater of Dreams right over your crotch.

I've read several stories hinting at United financial problems. I have no idea if they're true, but this Gooner certainly hopes that's the case...

They've got a ton of debt, hundreds of millions worth, but I don't think it's especially likely that it's going to be called in. One of those situations where calling in the debt isn't going to make the lienholder any money anyway.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking that all the reveling I did in Southampton's situation last year is coming back to bite me in the ass.
