    And:

"...the last 15 minutes of the movie.

Honestly, what the fuck was that about?

Up until the point where the shit hits the fan at 100 mph, I was really digging this movie. Man, I about laughed out loud in the theater by the time the final scene was over. Without giving it away (at least I hope I’m not), I just couldn’t believe that all the time this movie spent building up these characters and their circumstances was essentially just tossed to the wind in one fell swoop. Just a bad way to end a movie, dare I say it was a cop-out."

Hey, some recognition for "In the Bedroom"--nice! The last hour of that movie was absolutely devastating.

Also, I'd like to throw "Mulholland Drive" out there for consideration...haven't seen it mentioned yet. Might be the most interesting movie I saw this decade.

When it comes to comedies, Hot Fuzz may be my favorite of the decade. Also loved The Hangover, Old School, etc. but I love a well-done parody - that's why Airplane! is my favorite comedy of all-time.

    I've seen two.

That doesn't shock me. I rarely watch movies.

As for animated movies, Wall-E is number one by far for me with Up and Ratatouille 2a and 2b. I've yet to see Persepolis and Waltz with Bashir, but those would probably be up there as well.

I can't say they were the best-made films, but when I stop and really think about the films I enjoyed the most, it was.....

    The Devil Wears Prada
    Sex and the City

What the hell's the matter with me?

I'm still a sucker for The Incredibles, but I have only seen 20 percent of the movies you listed.

This will take some thought, but the ones that immediately sprang to mind were Lost in Translation, Brokeback Mountain and Almost Famous. I saw 45 of the movies on C-I's list. Lots of good ones on there.

A couple of random movies that I loved - not the "best" movies, but they had a lasting impact on me:

    Waitress
    Half Nelson
    Shrek
    Donnie Darko
    Closer
    The Motorcycle Diaries

I don't agree with your order in some instances, but a solid list.
However, how on Earth can a piece of garbage like Burn After Reading rank in your top 20?
It wasn't funny. It didn't work. It went completely off the rails in a way I never thought the Coen brothers could let happen.
There are great movies that some on here contend are too cloying or covenient (Slumdog, Crash, Juno). I get that.
But I don't get how anybody thinks BAR works.
