Sure, it could be. There's a bajillion places to eat. I wouldn't sweat it too much unless you are looking for someplace really special or someplace really cheap.

I know someone who liked the sushi at Yellowtail in the Bellagio:

Walk down to the Imperial Palace and Hash House A-Go-Go. Absolutely amazing food; joint was founded by a Indiana farm boy and first opened in San Diego before expanding to off-Strip Vegas and now, on the Strip. Can't go wrong there for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Equally amazing that there's finally something edible in Imperial Palace.

There will never be another place like the Stardust sports book. Just a fabulous place to spend a few hours or a day. So sad to see it go.

Was it me? The first time I ever had sushi was at Bellagio, you don't even have to go into the restaurant, just eat at the sushi bar. Amazing stuff....the chef made me a bouquet of flowers out of various edible stuff, and then made me a goldfish out of a carrot, put it in a plastic fishbowl so I could take it home. Walked around Vegas all night with a carrot fish.

On recent trips convinced Boom to stay away from the strip, at the Four Seasons (more reasonable than you'd think) with full access to casino/facilities at Mandalay Bay (attached). Love that place. You don't get the crazy crowds, and if you want the crazy crowds, you can hop in a cab.

Big fan of the restaurant Nine, at the Palms, btw.

My wife told me to go there when I take my trip. Maybe we talked about the restuarant also?

I'm going to look up Nine.

Going in August for my daughters 21st birthday. I would like to do one cool thing, just one cool thing, for her while we are there. She can't wait to get schnockered, which I get. But if I could pull of something, I would be cool d ad until at least the end of the trip.

To be honest with you I make a special trip to the Paris just for the breakfast buffet. If you have a car, check out Hash House a Go Go on Sahara. It's about 10-15 minutes from the strip. Also check out tripadvisor.com and it has honest reviews from real folks about restaurants for just about any place in the country.

Good stuff folks. Can anyone recommend a good shuttle service to and from McCarren?

If you're just looking for a non-buffet breakfast, we ate at the coffee shop at Paris. It was fine.
But, I'll tell you, for something special, they have lobster benedict at the Wynn, the coffee shop overlooking the pool.
