I think Altidore can be and maybe even already is the guy you want.

I don't know if I'm disappointed in his performance or not. He's a guy who will always be defined by whether or not he has 10 seconds of brilliance in a match. He was a post away from just that in the England game, for example.

Sorry, not impressed. Couldn't even make a dent in a mediocre Premier League team. He seems as if he needs to make a breakneck run past a defender to get his shot, and doesn't seem to have the footwork required to create creases in which to shoot.

But look at the setup to the second goal against Slovenia. That's a dominant physical play that only a few guys can make to set up a goal. That's what he can do.

In a lot of other countries, der, a 20-year-old is in his third year of being a scoring stud. The U.S. will be a true Cup contender when it has that type of player. And Rick, dozens of players can barge in and touch on. That's not a special skill

I'm playing Sundance to Webster's Butch here, Inks. Donovan's free kicks and corners were magnificent the entire tournament. Nobody could put them away.

What was Findley, who has the finishing touches of worn-out sandpaper, doing on the field? Was Bradley paying attention to the technique of Buddle during the second half of the Algeria game?

Frankly, we shouldn't lose to Ghana, although I'm not convinced had we won that we'd of gotten past an underrated Uruguay team that is playing well and features a forward line that would have abused our defenders.

But tactically, we were running the Ghanians crazy in the second half. We just couldn't finish.

    This.

Sorry. Altidore sucked in the Wpr;d Cup. US had 3 chances I think at goals and miffed on all three. You have to finish.

Don't even get started on our defense. I'm sorry..our what? These guys have to learn you don't give up a goqal. We don't have that attitude. We need guys on defense with fight in them and pride.

The team gives up an easy goal early in about every match. When extra time started I told my wife I hope we don't think this is like a new game and give up one early. Sure enough. That's just mental preparation. I guess I fault Bradley for that though he did a commendable job otherwise, aside form a couple lineup choices es I guess.

I think you wait until the end of summer before making the decision on Bradley.

Domestically, I would give Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear consideration as his replacement if it comes to that.

Think it was a mistake to take out Altidore. I am admittedly soccer challenged but it just seems like Altidore in football parlance stretched the defense which allowed more openings in the middle.
