Not a surprise to people who follow politics, but interesting.

I wish him nothing but the best. It has to be a relief for him to come out.

 

How you can work that side of the street under those circumstances has

It says Mehlman "told The Atlantic that he came to the conclusion he is gay recently."

It's something he just recently figured out after piecing together some clues?

 

I thought I recalled this being something of a murmur amongst Washington and political circles for some time. Heck, I even seem to recall someone actually asking him at some point if he was gay and how he dismissed the question at the time.

My guess is that he’d been struggling with coming to grips with the fact that he’s gay and refused to accept it until recently.
