Four-year-old sued

Four-year-old sued for hitting an old woman while riding her bike. Old woman died three weeks later. I feel like it's the parents who should be sued. No way a four-year-old can understand the concept of negligence. Probably can't even say the word.

Yet another sign of how fucked up our legal system can be.

You want to try and sue the parents? Ok, I guess, although whatever happened to accidents do happen?

But suing a four year old. The minute the judge saw that, he should have thrown the whole thing out of court and told the plaintiffs and their lawyers to never come back.

 

Don't hyperventilate. It's just a formality, they will settle up with the homeowner's insurance company.

 

Great, then do that in the first place. But, let's show a hint of common sense when a four year old is a named defendant.

 

They're going for the deep pockets huh?

the suing family, lawyers who took this and judge who ruled the suit can proceed are all pretty much scum.

Wait, I should be careful here, or they may sue me for defamation after this negligent suit is laughed out of court.
