    I wouldn't assume they'll beat Illinois.

A loss of 17-16, 27-6, 37-36 or 37-6 would be nice. No reason.

Illinois has become a pretty decent football team. Not Top 25 good, but "playing to make a bowl game" (which would mean a lot to that crew) good. They run the ball very well, showing nice improvement in their front 7 defensively. Certainly not a given, for the Wolverines.....

It looks like the Illini have finally found a good formula.

    1. Let Ron Zook handle recruiting
    2. Let the coordinators handle in-game decisions

It will be amusing when RichRod is let go by Michigan. Then mustang17 will act like RichRod is the biggest fraud ever to walk the sideline.

Full credit to the departed Fenian_Bastard. Similar to DoubleDown's Muppets, he invented it, and I just steal it when appropriate.

    Exactly.

    Also, see Baron's post.

West Virginia didn't slander anybody. Rodgriguez tried to shit all over the program on the way out, probably hoping that he would be fired so he didn't have to pay the buyout.

Let's not forget that he started recruiting for Michigan while he was still working for West Virginia. That is how the story first broke that he was leaving -- Terrelle Pryor told a reporter who was doing a recruiting story about it.

Everything about the way Rodriguez left West Virginia was a disgraceful. He's a dirtbag. Deal with it, mustang.

Yep, him and gibby were burning the phone lines up, they knew they were in grey area and they wanted to get a head start, they had there news conference at WVU after they had made the calls recruiting the players to Michigan. They were making the calls on WVU's dime from the WVU football offices. Pretty sad!

You appear a bit confused today.

I think you meant to post your fiction at UMGoBlue.com or GoBlueWolverine.com or TheWolverine.com.

It appears you have many friends there.

I'm a little confused why a Michigan fanboi would be so happy RichRod was cleared by the NCAA, while the school isn't in the clear yet. Seems like it would be the opposite.
I like Michigan, but they need to cut their losses and get someone new. It's one thing to have off-field drama if the team is kicking butt on the field (just ask Dennis Erickson), but that's not happening.

    Well said, murphy.

Especially when you consider Michigan football had never been on probation and always touted that.

Yeah, even after they were nailed in baseball about 15 years ago and then the basketball shit-shower blew sky-high around the turn of the millennium, they always came back with, "the football program is still clean!!!" like they were guaranteed perpetual virginity or something.

I still run into plenty of UM slappies who maintain, "we've never been on probation for anything!!"

I fire back, "Basketball," and they say, "oh, nothing was ever proven."

    ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I'm sure they'll spin the current situation the same way.

Honest to god, I have never visited those three sites. I don't have any fan board subscriptions. And I'm also not a commenter on any other message boards. Truth.

Anyway, here's Freeps web header today illustrating my argument:

"NCAA's verdict: Rodriguez ignored rules; U-M gets more probation"

If that isn't misleading I don't know what is. Honestly.
