I didn't say it was it was the equal plight. I said it was equally illegal.

It's not equally illegal. That's been explained.

An athletes' locker room or clubhouse is not a bathroom. And women have been going into them for 40 years.

While I absolutely do not think that racism and sexism are the same thing, neither of them should be acceptable in a professional situation.

It might be because the sports system adapted to accommodate the equal access, but if you aren't familiar with the system, one is a perfectly logical extension of the normal boundaries in civilian society, and the other is undeniably pernicious racism.

Neither is acceptable. But illegal is not the correct word here. Private club. They can keep purple people out of their private club if they so desire.

If the masses deem it necessary to boycott said private club, that's another thing. But illegal? No.

I'm not going to sit here like I know, because I don't, but there seems to be some confusion as to if it's illegal. Listening to Tara Sullivan in that CNN clip, she says it is. It's breaking "the law." So somebody has facts incorrect, I just don't know who.

For that matter, I could be wrong, too. And it's too serious a matter for me to be just throwing it out there.

I'd be curious if anyone can state page and chapter on that issue.

I doubt it's illegal to enforce the gender restriction for areas with posted restrictions.

Well I have yet to see a co-Ed locker room in any high school, college, health club or place of employment. Whether you want to admit it or not, your situation contradicts a lot of gender roles that are considered basic mores in our society. That doesn't mean you should not be treated the same as the men who do your job. But to pretend this is anything more than an overexuberant (female) security guard enforcing what she thought were the rules is silly.

    Sometimes, that IS the case.
