Best uniform of all time is____________.

From the "They Never Wore It" Files, I give you the St. Louis Blues alternate from 1996-1997:

 

Mentioned them in my faves. I really liked the uniforms they had before their last update. The gold pants and white jersey, especially, were awesome. The gold was really sharp and jumped out at you:




The newer, retro look is just kind of dull. It's not a great update on a classic look, like some teams have done. It just looks dated.

Love, hate or indifferent to the Chiefs, their unis have been the same since Leonard Dawson was quarterback.

 

NHL: Whalers... The nasty green ones!
NFL: All black Jax Jags
NBA: Red, white, and blue Sac Kings (Bobby Hurley rocked it).
MLB: Light blue Twins in mid 80's with red hat...Kirby Puckett on his rookie card.

 

If we're talking one unifor for all time, it's not even a debate:

The San Diego Chargers' powder blues. It's a crime against football that the powders aren't their default uniforms. A more gorgeouser uniform set has yet to be designed.

When it comes to the NFL -- and college, for that matter -- classic works best. Packers, Steelers, Bears, Chiefs, Giants, Jets, Niners, Bills (when they wear the throwbacks)... those are the best looking teams.

And the homer in me is glad the Royals dropped their black trim. The set they've got now is nails, down to the powder blue alts. Tampa needs to get their own color scheme.
