    My only time involved in a "stop the presses" incident came because of a basketball coach who was missing a game due to a bulging disc in his neck. Except, the initial run read "bulging dick."

    The issues never made it out the door, but, uh, wow.

    I can relate. To wit, my Tweet from 7/26/11 when Tim Lincecum came down with the flu:

    "Zito pitching tonight. Timmy very dick."

    Fortunately I've never had anything like that. Worse I had was caught before press. It was a softball gamer that said "XXXXX drove in the rubber."

    At least Persinger's explanation for the Observer's mistake makes sense. I've seen herniated dick typos before and have yet to understand how that happens.
