    You know how on some TV shows, there are "characters" who never appear on screen? Like Norm's wife Vera, on Cheers (who only appeared with a pie in her face in one episode), or like Joanie's friend Jennie Piccolo, on Happy Days (who, they did eventually cast, well after the show had jumped the shark).

    I'm sure there are more recent examples, but I'm old.

    So, which of our own SportsJournalists.com "characters" who have never appeared "on camera" do you wish posted here?
