I think I agree - especially since everyone went along with giving up tribal immunity. I think he would have wormed his way into a women's alliance if he needed to. I just think what made him strong was the weakness of the others. Fear works wonders.

Didn't people learn from the Russell losses? If you get far but are an asshole, it doesn't matter how much you dominated the game, people aren't going to vote for you. You think Colton would have bowed down to a jury and tried to kiss up to them as much as Coach did? Even that didn't win the game for him. Colton would have looked down on everyone on the jury and rubbed their faces in the fact that he was seated in the final three and they weren't -- and probably told them it was because of him that they were on the jury. He wouldn't get a single vote.

(Because I feel the need to respond to every single comment on this thread): Agreed, hoops. We saw the Colton in power for, what, three weeks? And each week we saw him slap someone different with the "most annoying person alive" label. It's pretty easy to see him, one by one, blasting nearly every person headed out of the game.

I think he could have taken his alliance to the end of the game, but it's hard to imagine someone who went so far out of his way being a dick to win the game.

Yeah, had Colton gotten to the end, I can't imagine anyone believing the spoiled rich kid who was a complete dick to everyone would deserve $1 million over any other person who was left.

Jonas gone. Probably the right move, he seemed to the only one of the misfits that might have gotten them to rally against the "cool kids."
Though I wonder how far Troyzan figures he will go, even with the idol.

  6. Huge mistake to send Jonas home, in my opinion. I think the girls are smart enough to just start picking off the guys beginning next week. Perhaps I'm giving them too much credit but I think the alpha females in that tribe will figure it out. Troyzan could cause some problems because of his idol and there are a couple guys that could hurt them because of their ability to win immunities but I see the women taking the game over moving forward. Leif or Tarzan next week with the other gone the following week.

The interesting thing about a 12-person merge, figure they'll go with a Final three - its now 6 women, 5 men. So whoever wins will have to get votes from people not in their initial tribe.
Figure those votes are Christina, and/or Tarzan and Alicia (bent on revenge).

There is not one person -- from what I have been shown so far -- who I can make a case for deserving to win at this point.

  9. I agree. Though I think Troyzan and the one chick (is it Kim?) are building some steam.

I don't think it was particularly brilliant move to bounce Jonas this week. My theory is always to vote off the weak players ASAP before the merge and the strong players ASAP after the merge.

You want your tribe to be strong so you can win challenges and avoid tribal before the merge, but afterwards, you don't want the physical threats to reel off three immunities in a row to get to the final three (unless you are that person).

Jonas was willing to ride coattails to the end, which made him a valuable vote if he's on your coattails. He also didn't seem to willing to make a big move that would upset any plans you might have. He'd just go along with whatever was going to work.

Add in that he was a generally upbeat, likable guy who cooked decent food for people, and I don't see the value in voting him out.

Jonas, for his part, was dumb to vote for Mike. After he said he was going to and Tarzan went off, he should have turned it around and started lobbying to vote off Tarzan. I think he might have had a chance if he recognized what Chelsea and Sabrina were saying.

And is it just me, or have the tribal councils this season and last been completely wild? I mean, it seems like every week someone just blurts out what the plan is. Can nobody keep their mouths shut?
