Meanwhile, in Tucson, the Johnnies take a 6-5 lead in the top of the 10th. Arizona leadoff hitter draws a walk to start the bottom of the inning.

Man, Florida State just put a butt-hurtin' on Stanford, 17-1, and that's after the Cardinal led 1-0 going into the bottom of the 4th. FSU put up 7 runs in that inning and just kept pouring it on.

That was a nice crowd that gathered at The Box.
Can't wait to see the finish of that one.

LSU just got hosed on a call, even if it might have been the right one.
Full count, runner on first breaks for second. He's safe initially, but overslides the bag by an inch or so and is called out.
Except the pitch was ball four.
    WTF?
I guess it's technically the right call, since he did come off the bag after getting there safely. Anything after that is at your own risk. But isn't that a dead ball situation, unless there's a passed ball or something? If that's the rule, why not throw to the lead base after every walk and hope for the best?
And for the record, it was ruled a pickoff, not a caught stealing. Weird play, sketchy ruling.

I've seen that called at the MLB level too. It sucks but apparently it's the correct call.

The runner had safely reached second base, as guaranteed by the walk to the ensuing batter. He then went off the bag, and was tagged out. Absolutely the right call. Unless time out is called, it's always a live-ball situation after a walk.

Watching Kent State-Oregon. Apparently Old Hoss Radbourne designed KSU's uniforms.

So far it's a PAC-12 party in Omaha. Arizona and UCLA are first ones to clinch.

Don't know about the uniforms, but Oregon might want to consider borrowing the Kent State bats. Apparently, their strategy is to get enough bases-loaded walks to catch up.

Is there any way possible that the Oregon runner there was actually out at second.
Sheeeeez, what a poor and quick call that was by the official.
Kent's playing well, for sure, but that seemed like a crap call to end the Oregon 5th.

No. He was safe by a mile.
